I love to stay active and always have some project going in my free time. I just finished restoring a 30 year-old classic BMW motorcycle to its new original condition ind it looks awsome!!! I love to travel and I'm not averse to taking risks.

In our free time, my ideal match and I would play and have fun!!! I particularly like to stay active and do 'outdorsey' stuff, particularly around water. . I would best describe my lifestyle as casual, laid back and always looking for fun projects.

Passover! I have very fond memories of the elaborate seders we used to have as a kid.

How important a role did Judaism play in your life growing up? And now?
I was brought up in a conservative synagogue and my mom made jewish education a high priority. As an adult I have joined reform shuls and religion has become much less important.

What are your favorite things to eat (or what do you like to cook)?
Salmon and grilled veges and chinese/thai food.

Have you ever visited Israel? Describe your travels / experience there.
I've been to Israel several times.

I'm an optometrist and was in solo private practice until shortly after my divorce. I now work part-time in the prison system and part-time at a friend's office.

Anything outside and having to do with water. I live on a huge lake and have 2 boats and a waverunner.

Sitting in traffic!!!!!!!!!!!

Tell about where you grew up or where you are from.
I grew up in the D.C. area and my family spent summers at our beach house on the Chesapeake Bay.

Do you have pets? Tell about them.
I adopted a kitten from the shelter last summer and he followed me everywhere. I was outside working oin my motorcycle and as usual he was right with me. For some reason he wandered off and after weeks of putting up posters, calling vets and shelters and even posted an ad on the subdivision/neighborhood website I haven't been able to find him. I miss my little boy terribly.

What would you say is your best virtue?
I'm a caring and considerate guy which I think is crucial to good partnering.

If you were on a deserted island, and you could choose 3 items to take, what would they be?
My best friend, matches, and 100 gallons of fresh water!

How is your physical shape? What do you do to keep in shape?
I keep in great shape! I run at least 3 times/ week and stay very active. I love skiing (both water and snow), swimming, boating, and I bike with my daughter whenever I get the chance.
